Progress – September 3, 2018

I probably should have written this during the morning when I was all pumped up and ecstatic. I’m starting to feel that this is a Sunday routine for me where I start the day all excited and by the time I sit down to write this, I’m depressed as can be. Yes, honest moment there.

And yes, I often have to pick myself back up to write this blog.

There’s a big fly in my office and I wish it would die. I want it to get trapped in a spiderweb and become dinner for another species I don’t particularly like. Yeah, it’s that kind of depression day.

Maybe it’s the episode of Star Trek: TNG that I had on a little while ago. Maybe it’s just a cycle that I go through. Maybe I feel that I’m not as productive on Sundays as I wish I were and I imagine myself being during the rest of the week. Maybe it’s the story I’m writing that now has me emotionally tapped. Maybe I intuitively feel that I’m not doing something right in my life and this is when it tries to surface. Maybe I need more time off to recharge. Maybe I see all that needs to get done that I haven’t gotten to. Maybe I feel like this is a record of what I got done while I let other things in my life go by the wayside knowing I should be tackling these tasks too.

Yeah, this is how I feel on Sunday evenings.

The gnome did it

Loki did not do this. He swears on his immortal life. (No, you didn’t just hear him snicker!)

In this case, Loki is putting forth a gnome to be a scapegoat:

Personally, I don’t think it was the gnome, not this time. Even with as creepy as he is:

Watch out, he’ll steal your soul!

Okay, now he really didn’t do that!

It’s one thing for Loki to apologize for a mess on the floor. Okay, he might have done that.

But he certainly did not (read as: DID NOT!!!!) destroy the ceiling of the mall. You can’t blame him for that.

He needs some ice cream.

(Walks away shaking his head, wondering where he can get the nearest coffee flavored ice cream. He really needs it)

Coming August 28th! Pre-order now.

Oh boy is he in trouble!

Apology – Sorry, not sorry!

img_5147

Loki would like to say his apologies to Odin and Daikokuten, one of the Seven Lucky Gods, for the destruction of their mall.

It wasn’t really his fault. He swears.

I think the Trickster is smiling with his fingers crossed behind his back. He is “sorry, not sorry.”

P.S. this is actually the wing of the mall used in 1-800-IceBaby.

Coming August 28, 2018

Loki – a blooper

Welcome, Loki believers!

If you read my progress blog from Monday, you saw that 1-800-IceBaby is now up for pre-order and releasing on August 28, 2018. Yippee!

I know, you’re thinking that August is so far away. It’s hot now and you want Loki to come cool you down.

Okay, okay, I will provide you with a special treat — a scene that got cut from the story. I really didn’t want to do it, but alas, it just didn’t fit. It had to go.

But that’s fine because you can see it now and have a small spoonful of the delicious delicacy that is coming.

Progress – June 25, 2018

Hail, fellow adventurers.

I don’t know about you, but last week was a bushwhacking week. Some incredible high points (so lows too, but balance in all things, right?) Whew!

Let’s see… I got my print copy of Eggs at Play. That was fun.

Some people have also already noticed that the next Loki novella, 1-800-IceBaby is up for pre-order. It will officially be available August 28th. Spread the word!

PS. That word is “mischief.”

(insert Loki’s laughter here)

Yeah, he’s a bit excited too.

Progress – June 18, 2018

Adventuring in time and space has been a week of dodging laser bullets and maintaining radio silence. What a week.

Oh yes, I have many great notes on it.

This week’s adventures have included hanging out with a ninja-to-be. Shhh! He doesn’t know he’s on the path to becoming a ninja, but it is the third origin story. When I hang out with Alex Dent, I must be super quiet. The world they are on have an unknown, but very deadly entity on it. All the soldiers on this planet they hope to colonize are scared.

Progress – June 11, 2018

For the readers that have asked for a continuation of The Doorway Prince, rejoice! This last week, Eclipse started telling me that something happened and now we’re off on a mystery together.

I’ve also gotten several chapters of  Tangled Magic reviewed. And I’m rethreading The Missing Thread (yes, I find great humor with that one!).  I’m into chapter 3, piecing together several parts I’d previously written, and it feel so much stronger.

I got the Sacred Knight box set up onto Kobo. Speaking of the series, the audiobook for Quest for the Three Books is getting closer and closer. Yeah, baby steps. On all fronts.

Plus I got some drawing and painting done this week, though Eggs at Play still doesn’t want to manifest as a print book. Argh! I have to keep reminding myself that the first one is always the hardest because of the learning curve. I’m figuring things out, slowly, as expected. It’ll get there, but not as efficient as I wish (obviously).
