Well, this one isn't quite as late as the announcement for the new Loki book, but it is a bit behind. Right now, it is currently only up on Amazon. I hope to have it up at other distributors, and maybe it will be by the time this announcement publishes to my blog.
One question I am often asked is how did Steigan get his unicorn. I've always answered that it happened just like the story said it did: Steigan and Martias ran away to "join" the Palin Wars, Martias sprained his ankle, Steigan found Tyana, they got in trouble, they returned home in disgrace. From Steigan's point … Continue reading The Unicorn and the Secret
Trust the process - an affirmation for telling stories even when the path doesn't make sense.
When I wrote about Cirvel and his genie lamps last week, I had another quote from that scene which I knew would make a great follow-up. Here goes: This is Cirvel's response to Rivic asking why Cirvel would have the genie lamps if genies are such abominations. Recently, I went through Tangled Magic to find some of my favorite spots in the book. This was one that came up: I really doubt that Rivic missed a lesson on how to fly. Whatever lesson he skipped out on was probably dull and boring, honestly. I just bet he will never skip class again.
Just wanted to drop a quick note about Tangled Magic being on sale for only $2.99 through the pre-order time to February 1st. If you are already a fan or have yet to experience that (grin), this is a great time to get it. The price will be going up after the deadline and may … Continue reading Fan sale

It also introduces … Continue reading The Stardust story bundle
It seems that every fantasy book has some sort of prophecy in it. I tried so hard when I was writing Quest for the Three Books to keep the word prophecy out of it. I used "legend" instead. I get to book 4 of the series and I realize I must just give in to … Continue reading Oh no, not another prophecy
Okay, I'm going to admit that it was in writing this chapter that I really started to enjoy Cirvel. He's always been an interesting character, but he becomes so deliciously cunning here that I really started to adore him. He was good fun before, but now... now I really long to tell his story. This … Continue reading Onesong – Chapter 33
