Mystery of the Stardust Monk – cover

April 19, 2018

I promised you a first look at some of the covers I’ve been working on. I’m still not happy with what I’m coming up with for The Missing Thread — I just can’t find what I want. But, Mystery of the Stardust Monk is the next story I hope to have out, so let’s talk about that one instead.

So this story is a sort of prequel to Stardust. When I have Dragons of Wellsdeep out, Mystery of the Stardust Monk will actually fall in-between the two. The story is about Moonhunter find the orb that they give up in Stardust. Read the rest of this entry »

Happy Valentine’s Day

February 14, 2018

Surprise!

Okay, I realize some of you might not feel the love on this one, but I wanted to shake things up with it being Valentine’s Day and all.  Can you feel it coming?

Yes, I am postponing this week’s Onesong chapter until next week so that I can bring you what I believe is the start of a new short story series featuring everyone’s favorite god of love: Cupid. But he is neither cute nor a cherub, though I would say his archery skills are supreme. He helps people find their true love in this difficult day and age. Read the rest of this entry »

Oxygen will be released on October 31st. I figured a strange and weird story like this needed a special day.

While the whole story ran here, let’s have a little recap, shall we?

Oxygen

by Dawn Blair

Heart’s “Music Man” lulled from the radio as Shelly drove across the highway through the desert. She hadn’t seen another car for miles. She liked being alone.

“Try to understand,” Shelly crooned with the music. But as she looked up at a cloud Read the rest of this entry »

Oxygen

July 12, 2017

Sometimes we all want to get away when life feels too overwhelming. In running away from her life, Shelly gets an adventure she never expected.

Oxygen is a strange story, a little paranormal and bizarre. Remember the old Hitchhiker television show? Or how about Amazing Stories. I think this would fit in really well with that type of tale. Oxygen is available for 1 week only! Then, it will turn back into a pumpkin and a new story will appear!

Enjoy!

The Last Ant

January 4, 2017

Steven King is quoted as saying, “Write what scares you.”

The Last Ant scares the heck out of me.

It’s my darkest tale by far and I considered not publishing it. Natalie, my character and narrator of the story, has lived a life similar to my own in some ways. I found myself taking my own thoughts and pushing them to a psychotic edge. I kept teetering on this cliff, wondering when she would push me over. In some ways, the story was cathartic to write.

I had found what scared me: finding myself in a dystopian world, especially when I already feel like I’m watching the decay of society going on around me right now. At least Natalie was able to formulate a plan of escape.

Come jump down the rabbit hole with me. I have a feeling that this is only the beginning.

Preorder now. Release date January 17, 2017.
